課程概述	每週邀請國內外知名學者介紹語言學與認知科學領域之相關研究。期望修課同學能先廣博而專精，於課堂中擷取新知與刺激，迸出靈感與學術創作的火花。 98年度第1學期演講名單請見課程大綱。
課程目標	Cognitive science is an interdisciplinary study of human mind. The primary goal of this course is to provide graduate students of linguistics a broader understanding of this academic adventure so that they can properly grounded their research in human language system. Since cognitive science involves the work of so many different disciplines, most of the lectures are given by guest speakers. Students are required to finish the assigned readings and then write commentaries on the guest lectures, with these readings as points of departure.
